March 12, 2021 – In Q4 2020, connected TV device sales hit a record-setting 109.1MM units, with Amazon Fire's 12.1% market share eclipsing Samsung's 10.9%.
Overall 2020 global sales figures reached an all-time high of 305.3MM units, up 7.6% YoY, mostly comprised of Smart TVs (186MM), followed by streamers (81MM), and TV game consoles.

April 21, 2021 – Overall, around 20.5 million ultra-high definition flat-screen TVs have been sold in Germany since 2014 until the end of March 2021.
Moreover, 97% of the UHD TVs sold in Q1 2021 support at least one High Dynamic Range (HDR) method.

April 26, 2021 – Global OTT revenue forcasts are very promising, particularly for the US, China, UK, Japan, and Germany who will collectively command two-thirds between 2021 and 2026.
AVOD revenues will continue to rise from US$39 billion in 2020 to US$66 billion in 2026, growing from 26% in 2020 to 32% of the total OTT market by 2026.

October 22, 2020 – Samsung has announced that its ad-supported Samsung TV Plus streaming service will be available on all of its smart TVs released since 2017.
Samsung TV Plus offers free access to 80 live and on-demand TV channels, and it's available in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain and Italy, with plans to expand into more European countries in 2021.
